What is RSS?
There's a LOT of content available on the internet. You, like most people, enjoy visiting a variety of special interest websites to read about topics that you like. It could take hours to visit every one of your favorite sites just to see if it has been updated. Wouldn't it be nice if you could check for new articles from all of your favorite websites all in once place?
Enter RSS. RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. The majority of site visitors do not care about the underlying technology; you can read that elsewhere. The important thing is what RSS allows us to do. By creating a bookmark to an RSS feed (or if you use an RSS feed reader, you can add the link to the reader), you can click on your bookmarks right in your web browser or feed reader, and instantly see if there are new articles, promotions, contests, deals, or blog updates from that site. If you see an article you want to read, simply click on the bookmark link and the web site will open in your browser, straight to the article you want to read. Really simple.
